From the Callanish Stones to Lews Castle

Lewis is steeped in a rich and varied history.  This tour will take you to visit some of the famous historical landmarks on our island as well as some places which might surprise you. 

We will see and hear about many varied historical stories from the world famous Callanish Stones  to the deeply moving and tragic story of the Iolaire disaster visiting on our way an authentic island Blackhouse which lets you see how islanders lived in years gone past and still has a traditional peat fire burning as its centre piece. 

We will also visit the newly restored Lews Castle and allow you time to browse in its  museum within the building. 

Our drivers guides will tell you the stories and the fables associated with each venue as we visit them before taking you back to your desired end destination.
