Literary Tour

This tour, as all others, can be tailored to your own specific requests but will be focused on author Peter May’s hugely successful Lewis Trilogy and other stunning pieces of work centered in Lewis & Harris.  Our drivers will do their very best to get you to as many or as few locations as you wish. They will include murder scenes, dwellings, churches and local hostelries and no doubt be sprinkled with anecdotes of Peter’s time as writer/producer of Gaelic drama series “Machair”. Locations are scattered around our islands so please bare that in mind.

As well as that you can choose from stunning locations used to bring to life Katie Morag and her adventures on “Isle of Struay” or gaze in awe at locations used to inspire Disney/Pixar’s “Brave” animation. Whether they be global bestsellers, box-office smashes or local yarns our drivers will regale you with their knowledge or simply allow you to take in the beauty that inspired them all.
